The Hidden Reality Part 2 of 12

Chapter 1: This is mainly an introductory chapter to the idea of multiple realities (or multiple universes). The main thing I took away was that I do not even have the slightest idea of the scope of this theory. The author explains the reasoning behind the multiverse theory thusly:
(though in a much easier to understand way than what I wrote)

If a reaction can cause particle A to appear in either location X or location Y, then there is a measurable probability of it appearing in each place. However, physics cannot explain why it appears in one location but not the other (X instead of Y or Y instead of X). The parallel universe theory suggests that particle A appears in both location X and location Y, but that the observer sees only one reality, while in a different universe, parallel in time and space, but inaccessible from our own, the observer sees the other reality.

The author goes on to explain how most of the accepted physics theories, if followed far enough, show some sort of evidence to support a multiple universe theory.

I can't wait to find out more!
